Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones our website uses, why we use them, and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. Similar tools, such as local storage and pixels, work in a similar way. We call all of these "cookies" in this policy.

2. The cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary: needed for the site to work and stay secure — for example remembering your progress through the order form, protecting payment pages, and keeping private areas signed in. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where they come from — so we can improve it. This information is grouped and not used to identify you personally.
  • Preference and personalisation: remember choices such as recently viewed books or details you have entered, to give you a smoother, more personal experience.
  • Third-party: our payment processor (Paystack) may set its own cookies when you pay, to process the payment and prevent fraud. These are governed by Paystack's own policies.

We do not use cookies to sell your data or to show you third-party advertising.

3. How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set time (usually no longer than 12 months) or until you delete them.

4. Your choices

  • Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting analytics or personalisation cookies.
  • You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as ordering or payment, from working.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or contacting us.

5. Law and updates

We use cookies in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and its Regulations. We may update this policy when our tools change; the date at the top shows the latest version. See our Privacy Policy for more on your rights.
